Miguel used to say that he was a Madeiran by blood and an Azorean by heart.<\/p>\n<p>Miguel and Teresa, his life partner, from an early age revealed a taste for constructing, decorating, and receiving people in their houses. The way they managed to do that was to invest and build houses in places that the Morna family fell in love with.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Madeira<\/div>\n<h2>Our roots<\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>Our family originates from Madeira Island. It was also here that we had the first<br \/>\naccommodation experiences, more precisely in a house in Faj\u00e3 da Ovelha, on the west side of the island.<br \/>\nBesides our family and friends, we received some visitors especially at the weekends. But it was in 2013, in Funchal, that we decided to dedicate ourselves to the art of hospitality through local accommodation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\n    <a href=\"\/en\/alojamento\/madeira-en\/\">Come visit us <\/a>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/sobre_nos_02.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/sobre_nos1.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/sobre_nos2.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<div>Pico<\/div>\n<h2>The island where our heart lives<\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>If Madeira is the island of our roots, the island at the heart of the Morna family lives in the Azores archipelago. It was on Pico Island that the true desire to host was born. The story began with a work trip, in which Miguel fell in love with this Island and ended up taking there the whole family on vacation. In that time, he decided that he would buy a land to build a house. <\/p>\n<p>At that time, what seemed a crazy idea to Teresa (there was no electricity or running water), turned out to be a loved place by the whole family. Since the beginning of the 90s, we have all met on the island of Pico in August.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\n    <a href=\"\/en\/alojamento\/pico-en\/\">Come visit us<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<div>Porto Santo<\/div>\n<h2>The beach always near<\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>Porto Santo beach has never been forgotten. Even escaping the typical hustle and bustle of August, our trips to the golden island were saved for the end of summer or for other stops in the middle of the year. Due to its proximity to Madeira Island, it was always easy to go to the beach during Carnival or Easter. And this is where one of our newest local accommodation houses is located.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\n    <a href=\"\/en\/alojamento\/porto-santo-en\/\">Come visit us<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/sobre_nos3.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/sobre_nos4.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p>They are very different spaces and have different stories, but they are united not only by the same sea, the Atlantic, but also by the art of hospitality, as only the Morna family knows how to practice.
